Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology

Designed to offer students with the opportunity to gain research experience and training in their specific area of interest under the supervision of expert faculty advisors, the Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology program is geared towards individuals who are seeking academic or research positions as well as direct client practice in the mental health or medical field. Typically taking between two to four years past the master’s degree with an additional year for a full-time 2000-hour internship placement, the doctoral program covers coursework in assessment, treatment research, psychopathology, neuropsychology, psychopharmacology, behavioral medicine, child psycho-educational evaluation, statistics, research methodology, and marital/family therapy.
